Thanks for all your help. It's interesting to see what hoops you have to jump through.

I've just seen that there's a self employed route that may be possible for me to go down. I fall under the cultural activities section. Is this an easy process to go through? or is it more difficult than the EE?

Sorry to keep asking questions.

Both are PR apps, so require the same sort of paperwork etc and one isn't really easier than the other. If you're eligible that could be great, although be warned that processing times are much, much longer than EE. Check application processing times

Yep. The quota is so tiny each year that very few get processed, although it does seem to have sped up a bit recently.

So it's not really worth it then is it. Im guessing you have to pay for all fees up front, and if after 8 years they say no, you don't get that money back.
