Default Working for US company

Just wanted to double check something for a friend who doesn't use this site

If a US company wanted to employ someone in Canada and you get paid in Canadian dollars - that's fine right?

I know time spent in US would obviously be needed to be calculated for maintaining PR.

I just wanted to double check there isn't some crazy rule written on page 1050 on CIC's tomes of immigration rules that I don't know about.

Thank you oh wise ones
