Default work permit?

Should have included this in the last post... should I apply for a work permit now with my PR application or wait until I have PR? Thanks

No need to 'wait until you have PR', as once you have that, you can't get a work permit anyway - PR allows you to work. But you may be able to apply for a work permit alongside your PR application, it depends on how you're applying. What kind of PR application is it?

Thanks, but next question - are you applying inland or outland? You can only get a work permit if you're applying inland i.e. are already living in Canada. If it's an outland app, then there's no way to apply for a work permit without a job offer/LMIA.

That answers your question then…..you can't apply for a work permit anyway. So wait for PR it is!
