Willis Brazolot & Co
Hello
I am new to the forum and very glad i have found it .
I am after some advice we recently went to the Leeds 'canada expo' and whilst we were there filled out application forms for a immigration and jobs specialist company called Willis Brazolot & Co they have just been in touch to say we may have the qualities and skills to progress forward and therfore have arrange a meeting with them to discuss our move in more detail. My concern and from other research on the internet is that i believe this company can charge a lot of money for there services, money we dont really have to spare.
As anybody got any experience of using them and the costs involved if were to proceed.
Thank You

we were originally going to use them, but they do charge a lot of money and don't guarantee that you will go to the front of the queue!
We ended up doing it all ourselves, and it was pretty easy - just have to get organised and get all the paperwork together.
After nearly 2.5 years we just got our medical requests thru, so hopefully not too much longer to wait - glad we did it ourselves and saved the money!
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Re: Willis Brazolot & Co
Thanks
We made our decision to try to move to canada a few months ago and to be honest the both of us have absolutely no idea how to go about it, so to see a company who would provide assistance in finding us jobs and helping with the paperwork was very appealing the one thing we have never appreciated was the costs of using these companies, we will probably have no alternative but to go it alone but having found a forum like this hopefully i will be able to use the members advice and experience to make the process easier.

Hi,
Here's a couple of other threads that mention Willis Brazalot, including some coverage of costs.

Personally, I'd recommend lots of research before you consider with parting with money. This website (and the WIKI in particular...see link at top of page) has masses of helpful info that will set you on the right path.
Good luck,
Eamonn & Janet.

All of the info you need to 'get up to speed' is in the Wiki (on blue bar at top of page), start reading and you'll soon get to grips with it all. Just be prepared to still be reading hours later!!
I agree with the others who have said you can do it yourself - if you have skills needed in Canada then it would save a huge amount of money to do it yourself, and after all, the only paperwork you have to fill in for a Temporary Work Permit is a 2 page form, the employer does the rest!! So personally I wouldn't pay somebody else thousands to fill in a 2 page form for me, but obviously it's your personal choice. By the way, in case you weren't aware, it's illegal in most Canadian provinces for anybody to charge you for finding a job - they are only legally allowed to charge the employer. (there's a Wiki article on that too, search for 'recruitment agencies fees').
The Wiki is honestly your best bet, grab a cuppa and get reading! And anybody on here will be happy to answer any questions you have.
I wish you the best of luck.

You will still have to provide them with all the documentation to put your application together, so why pay for someone else to do part of the job. We did ours ourselves and it was not tood difficult, you just need to get organised. Download the forms from the CHC website and gather the info, taking time to make sure that you have a document to prove everything you say about yourself and you should be fine. It does seem daunting....the evidence gathering....but take it slowly and it will be fine
Good luck with what you decide to do

Re: Willis Brazolot & Co
Other people may have a different view, however I saw this company at a fair in york about 3 years ago, and they have been at every fair I have been to since. Each time I have seen them, they are appear very false and only deal pleasantly with the customers who are parting with money on the day. I found them to be extremely rude and very expensive. I cannot say why this is, but like most people on here have said; it is best to do it yourself. The bonus of doing it yourself is you will save loads of cash you use for when you get to canada, and you are control of your application.

Re: Willis Brazolot & Co
I would tread very carefully. I called them a few weeks ago before 'the list' was issued to ask for their advice. They told me that I should still submit a PR application as a skilled worker. Fortunately, I didn't - I took the advice of the BE forum members instead, which was lucky as my occupation didn't end up on the list. Their advice could have cost me a lot.
Unless you've got a spare £4,000+ that you have no need for, I wouldn't waste my time. They are only going to tell you what information you need to collate. You still need to do all of the work. There is absolutely no benefit in using WB, unless you have a particularly tricky case, such as a criminal record.

Re: Willis Brazolot & Co
even a criminal record is easy to deal with yourself
I was wrongly advised on here ( and obviuosly so were many others who read the replies)by a so called immigration advisor who charges about criminal records
for a start I was told canada do not recognise UK spent convictions
what a load of hog as they do !!!!
I did it all myself and got rehab within 3 months it takes time and lots of evidence gathering but really very very simple
