Re: where do i start?
no husbands parents both moved out there 8 years ago.
I'm 37 husband is 32.
I've been looking into jobs and think we may have to go with my qualifications rather than his but I need to get mine assessed so I can work there. Does anyone know the best way to go about it? I've got my NVQ3 in childcare.
thanks x

Assessment of qualifications:
Have your education assessed — Skilled immigrants (Express Entry)
If you read carefully, & then scroll down the page, you'll find the relevant assessment info.
IIRC, some NVQs may be assessed as the equivalent of "A" levels/a high school diploma.
(See also BE Wiki).
Additional thought, & sorry if it sounds negative, it's highly unlikely you'd get an LMIA (temporary work permit leading to 600 extra points) for an ECE post .

Almost certainly not going to get an LMIA for an ECE post. It's up there with teachers in that there is a massive over-supply of applicants for the number of jobs.

No!! Please don't waste your money! It wouldn't be anything other than an unnecessary/useless expense, given the info you have provided so far.

SEriously, don't hire someone. You'll throw away money. Your case isn't complicated.
You COULD go on a study permit, but it isn't cheap. International student fees are pretty high. But if you can afford it then yes you can go on a study permit and your husband should be able to get a work permit for the duration of your study.
