Has anyone ever applied for Spanish Police clearance from inside Canada. If so how long did it take?. I sent mine off 4 weeks ago nearly. Now with Postal strikes looming its gonna take for ever!!!!

Thanks thats great to know. Was wondering if I had done something wrong and messed up application somehow. As others have said it takes around 2-3 weeks that must have been a few years ago.

Look at it in business days

You have to figure minimum 10 days if sent by mail, handing & sorting at the other end, 3 + days, hits the department handling the clearance - likely in a pile with others, then its physically handled, say minimum 1-2 weeks. Paperwork, handling to mailing it back to Canada, another 7- 10 days

This time of year could be vacations or public holidays, someone handling it is sick etc etc.... real world

Puts it up there doesn't it & 2-3 weeks is not doable

Excluding weekends

Well I'm waiting 8 weeks now. I have been told on another site they waited 8-10 weeks. I think it's crazy this day that their is no way to log in online to get updates.
I tried to call but I don't speak Spanish and they didn't speak English.

I'm updating this thread for future if other people go through this.

Nothing compared to obtaining one for Argentina.

Officialdom in Spain closes down for August, which might be a reason for the delay.
