What options do I have in Ontario?
Hey, i've been following this site for a long time and reading through all the options but sometimes the experience from others is vital.
Basically, i currently am in Ottawa on an IEC visa which expires in April. I currently a manager at Starbucks and started there in May. Once my visa expires, i will have worked there (i believe in a skilled position) for 10 months.
If worst case happens and I miss out on the next IEC, what can i do?
I have spoken to them about a possible LMO but they seem to keep pushing it back (in april i will be able to apply for common law, which i told them, so kind of showed them my hand). I just don't know how i would be able to financially cope whilst the application gets processed.
I read here about 9months skilled experience and sometimes 12, i just would prefer to get full clarification.
Thanks guys

Apply for 2nd IEC and activate it when your old one expires
File outland for common law PR around the same time. It'll take less than a year to process unless you're exceptionally unlucky.
