visitor visa question

Here's a quick one :
I'm working in Canada on a working visa. My wife has a three year visitor visa and
returned to our home country (UK). Her UK passport is in her maiden name and has
expired. In England she replaced her passport which is now in her married name. So
when she arrives she will have her current passport in her married name, and her old
passport containing the visitor visa. What is the procedure for updating the visitor
visa? Is the old one valid? I read something on the CIC site about having visas
cross-referenced to new passports but in England they didn't allow her to do that.
