Hi expert, My parents got their Vistor Visa several months ago and the Visa will be
expired if they can not enter into canada before Oct.30th. Unfortuntly they can not
come here before Oct.30th. My concerns are:
1. Can they request a extend for their visa? if yes, how and where should they go
for? if not,
2. will it impact their Visa applying in future ?
TIA Daniel

Your parents will have to apply for new visa sticker and the fact that they didn't
use the first one will not impact their new application at all. Note that a visa
sticker in the passport is not really a visa - it is only the permission to go to
the Canadian port of entry and ask for admission. Only immigration officer at the
border may grant the admission and only after that visa sticker in the passport
becomes a visa.

They will have to apply for another. =20
They may have to explain why they did not go and depending on the = reason, they may
or may not be issued another visa.
For example, if they for some reason state that they really want to stay =
permanently in Canada and were not ready to go at that time, this would = seriously
hamper their efforts to visit.
