Default Transfering File from Federal to Quebec

Hello,

Is there any possiblity to tarnsfer the file from the Federal Governement to Quebec. My file is in the stage of background check after the medicals and interview and seems that I still have to wait a long time. Do you recommend that I transfer my file to quebec as I have heard they are much more quicker in handling the files.

Regards,

Please confirm with an expert before taking my words for granted...

I went through the Quebec Selection process myself and I'm currently waiting
for my passport request from the Federal office. My understanding is that
you've been already selected as you went through the Medicals and Interview
process, and Quebec can only help you with the selection process. I believe
the security and background checks are the same for you and me, even though
you went through Federal selection and I went through province selection.
Note to mention that the Quebec Selection criteria are quite numerous and
you may not even be selectable (do you speak French?).

My advice to you is to stick with your plan, hope it helps.

Only process that might be sped up is selection process --
admissibility criteria are still the same. If your background check
was going to take X months under Federal, it will take X months under
Quebec programme.

Chances are also, you might have an interview, and Quebec selection
officer is going to frown at you going through quebec just to speed up
admission process.

Even if you could transfer it you probably wouldn't want to because
your desire to live in Quebec would implicitly be weak.
