Just an update for my timeline. Like 'AshMyl' a few posts above we have also received a letter on Friday through MyCIC to inform us that out application has been sent to Ottawa for further processing.

Thanks
Matt.

And to round out my line on the sheet, COPR picked up today (actually arrived special delivery on Saturday, but we spent the long weekend away).

I think I was expecting a digitised photo or something, to just stick-on the physical one I provided looks... wonderfully low-tech for such a document

Congratulations! Yes, an impressive document is it NOT!

It looks even more comical when you activate it and they staple the copy into your passport and fold it umpteen times for fit!

I remember when my husband did his landing... the border officer scribbled all over his landing card, made WAAAAAAAAAAAY more marks than they usually do, it was really funny, all of a sudden his landing card looked like a preschooler had gotten a hold of it!!

Yeah, but hey - they are OFFICIAL scribbles!

Finally had new contact from CIC yesterday, asking us to link our account.
I've read the Wiki, but my first 5 tries didn't work so I'm locked out again until later tonight :-( Hoping I guess a better combination that works tonight

Also had an email asking to link the application. Is that what is now classed as AOR? Such a load of my mind to receive some contact, the worry that it didn't make its way from the mailroom to the relevant department was slowly eating me away!

The 'new' system is new for all of us. But if that request to link contained your UCI and application numbers, then for all intents and purposes, it is an AOR I would suggest!

Does anyone else have problems signing in to CIC to view their account?

I log in with my GCKey account, and it says I've been successful, but when I try to click through, more often than not it returns me to the generic home page. If I'm lucky I'll get a link to accept the terms and conditions, and if I'm even more lucky that will prompt my security question... I sometimes have to sign in up to 10 times just to actually view my account - is this the same for other people or am I'm doing something wrong?

Yes, their site is awful! Consider yourself lucky if you can login in under 5 attempts. It often takes me about 7. Just go back to the log in page and keep trying, it eventually works.

How odd? I must say i've never had a single issue. Works every time. I wonder if it is some kind of browser issue maybe? I always use google chrome, no problems.

I'm signing in from a Mac, I wonder if that makes a difference like it did with the forms not validating on a Mac...
