Spreadsheet update, and question
Received AOR by email 2 February. Sponsor approval 8 February.
Sponsor approval email says Mississauga will hold application for PR untill received form IMM5669, after receive of this will be sent on to a visa office.
My question is that so far I have not been able to link my application on line. Have tried many times to no avail. I did report it as a technical issue but no luck so far. Has anyone else had any troubles with this and if so how did you manage to sort it? Just getting a bit worried as it says have to link within 7 days.

Linking your application to a MyCIC account is far from easy and most people have tried many times before succeeding (it took me 22 attempts over several days before I hit an acceptable combination).
Check out the wiki article on MyCIC, there is one approach described which worked for several of us. See here:

The 'secret' seems to be to enter the bare minimum of information that the screen validation will allow.
Having said that, there are some people who have simply never managed to link and have given up and simply sent paper copies or email attachments via email address to the relevant visa office (case specific enquiries etc.).

Just adding my time line for spread sheet as I thought it may be helpful:
I am British citizen and sponsoring my Iranian wife.
outland application and used old forms.
Application sent to CIC Mississauga on 24 Jan 2017 via FedEX.
Acknowledgement email to say application received: 8 Feb 2017.
Sponsor eligibility confirmation: Feb 10, 2017.
Sponsored application sent to Ottawa processing centre.
cic seems to review application really fast
so finger crossed the review of sponsoreed should be done quickly too.
do I need to link the application to my cic account or my wife suppose to do this?
