Timeline - FSW application to CIO in Sydney, NS

Re: Timeline - FSW application to CIO in Sydney, NS
We sent our FSW application on the 18th June,09 by Airsure and it was signed for on the 26th June,09.
Received an e-mail from Sydney, Canada on the 24th August, 09 quite by accident as it was lurking in my spam filter and I was expecting a letter so it was a bit of a shock.
I presume it was my 120 day letter (not up to date as yet with all the jargon) it requested that we send the same form and details to London.
Sent that asap on the 26th Aug, 09 and it was signed for on the 27th August.
Not heard anything since but
Just have to get some additional details together to send to them. (Our fault, we remembered something later on).
Good luck to all you guys

At the moment, the AOR timeline appears to be approximately six to eight weeks from receipt of the pack by CHC London.

It was a letter, computer generated the only thing that was original was the date and the sticker with our new file number.
Two important things that it states are:
a) Before your application can be placed in processing, a further determination will be made as to whether or not your are eligible. If your application is not eligible for processing, you will receive a letter informing you of the reason for the decision as well as a refund.
b) Processing time:
Applications for permanent residence in Canada in your category require, on average, 12 months to process at this office. If you have not received any instructions from us within 8 months of the date of this letter, please contact this office.
So not actually being processed yet, hopefully at some point in the future we will get med requests and see on ECAS that we are being processed.

It is helpful to know that I am looking out for a letter rather than an email.
I do not know what your preferred timescale is but my wife and I will be happy to know that we are actually being processed. We are quite relaxed about the timing from that point on as we are in no hurry.
Keep in touch.

Re: Timeline - FSW application to CIO in Sydney, NS
Having received our 120 day letter on the 7th Augs , we are in the process of collecting together the various bits n pieces needed to submit to London.
A delay in the mail of late as left us waiting for the police check and our new born babies passport, a replacement intermediate food hygiene certificate, plus my old workplace being not in a rush to send me my CV and Contract out grrrrr , should I be too worried in getting these items together ?or is it a case of the process would take 120 days anyway?
I should receive all I need this week but am worried its taken over 6 weeks for us to gather our extra information
Cheers All for your helpful advice in this forum

Hi,
Preferred time line would be to have PR tomorrow, but seeing as that is not going to happen, the next best option would be prior to the end of March 2010, but I doubt that will happen either.
Which means that we will have to renew OH LMO which is a bit of a pain.
So now having completed PR paperwork I will have to start on the LMO and WP renewal (I will have to do the prep work and then pass the details on to OH HR Manager........

Of course. I had forgotten that you are already over there whereas we are still in the UK. It must be a pain having to start yet more paperwork.

We also might end up in the same position
