Time Scales for BC Express Entry
So I have reading mega amounts online and can't really work out roughly what are the timescales for getting residency for BC.
Is this the correct process please?
So OH has a job offer
Employer needs to get LMAI? 4-6 weeks????
We need to take English test
Submit PNP (I believe we have 900points )
Selection from pool????
Request medicals??
Submit Medicals
WAIT????
Is that it basically please?
Roughly how long are we looking please?
Thank you

You don't need a LMIA if you're applying under PNP. You've missed the nomination stage though, that is what your OH would need to do instead of the LMIA.
As for timescales, nobody knows yet as the program only opened in Jan so it's too early for anybody else to have been through the process.
HTH.

Also you can't apply for BC PNP under express entry unless you already qualify for CEC or FSW.

Re: Time Scales for BC Express Entry
You need to qualify for FSW or CEC. FSW requires a score of 67/100 based on 6 criteria. You can find the criteria by googling.
Then you enter Express Entry, which is out of 1200 points. The current cut off is 453. Again, all the criteria for points can be found online. There are handy tools that'll calculate it for you. Google is your friend.
You need to get, at a minimum, an IELTS/English Language score, and get your degree/highest qualification certified by WES (or an equivalent - you can research these by googling, its called an "ECA").
If you have a job offer, you will need an LMIA in order to get the extra 600pts. An alternative is PNP, but that is closed right now, so unless you applied a while ago, you won't be getting a PNP through any time soon.
You can then enter the pool and wait to be selected.
Once you're selected, you have 60 days to submit all of the 'proof' for your points. Plus you will need to take a medical, and submit a photo, stuff like that. There's another thread on this very website which gives you a big long list of what's required. Its very helpful.
Then you sit and wait for it to be processed. CIC say it'll be processed within 6 months of them receiving your PR application.
I would say, assuming it takes the full 6 months, you're probably looking at around 8-9 months from the very first point to getting your PR approval (WES takes some time to come through, and you won't get a test date immediately unless you're lucky, plus that takes 2 weeks to get the results.)
It seems complicated, but it really isn't. Just take your time in your research, and it's all laid out pretty well. CIC are bad with a lot of things, but the information around Express Entry has been very good, and it does make a lot of sense. Don't expect to read it in 5 mins and understand it all, though.

BC PNP Express Entry isn't 'closed'. It's the regular BC PNP that has been put on hold until mid-year.
