Thanks for all who post there suggestions and comments on this very useful forum. Thanks to Jim Humpheries, PMM, Wizzard, Jim Metcalfe, Andrew Miller for there help with people's questions.

Our Time line:

Family Class Fiancee category.
I applied Dec 21, 2001 from Canada, received approval March 19, 2002.
Fiancee submitted her part of the application on June 7, 2002 to Kiev, Ukraine.
Interview Aug 27, 2002. Told all things were good and to expect medical papers soon.
Medical done on Oct 17, 2002
Passport request letter received on May 23, 2003
Fiancee went in person to embassy, and visa issued the same day
Fiancee landing in Calgary on July 10, 2003.

Good Luck to all those who are waiting.
We are very happy to have finished the wait.
Has anybody landed in Calgary ? I was wondering how the immigration officers are at Calgary and what my fiancee can expect during the landing process. I know they will take her picture and get my mailing address for her permanent resident card to be sent to, anything else done at landing ?

Congratulations.

Does you fiancée have a direct flight to Calgary, if so the landing should
be fairly quick since it is not that busy an Airport. She should have her
goods to follow list with her for customs. Very straight forward, she
informs customs that she is coming to be landed, and they will refer her to
Immigration. The details of her visa will be verified and her picture taken
for her PR card. Then she will be sent to Customs with her goods to follow
list, where it will be stamped and she will be on her way.

She will change planes in Amsterdam. But her first stop in Canada airport will be Calgary. That is where I pick her up. Sounds like it should be a good airport, not too busy.
Thanks for the info. She will only have 2 suitcases, which will be on the same plane as her, so hopefully it should be straight forward for the goods list.

Bradley.
