Default Sponsorship Question

To be eligible for Common-law sponsorship I am aware that its 12 months together.. So I moved here in Feb to be with my partner.
we lived with her parents for 3 months until May, when we got an apartment....

can we still apply for common-law even though we lived with her parents...?

we are due to Marry In May but was curious If we could apply as early as feb on common-law...

Thanks for any help

Default Re: Sponsorship Question

You can, as long as you have proof that you were in a 'marriage like' relationship during that time. If you don't have bills with both your names on ( presumably her parents were paying them) then just use stuff like joint bank account, insurance in both names, wills etc.

HTH.
