Hi all,

I am going to sponsor my parents to immigrate Canada. I have a few questions in the
following:

1. Do I have to submit my Original birth certification with my sponsorship
application to Missisauga?

2. My parents have been in Canada for 1 year on visitor visa. Since "you have to get
a police clearance certificate from any country that you have lived for more than
6 months during the past 10 years", do they have to get the clearance certificate
from Canada? If they do, how can they get it? Because they are in China now and
how can they make the finger prints acceptable by the RCMP?

3. This is related to Beijing visa office specific instructions:
a. Do they have to submit their "original hukou" or just photocopy?

b. Do they have to submit my (sponsor) "Original birth certificate"? They have a
notarized certificate showing their relationships with me, Is this will be
good enough?

4. What is the average processing time recently at Beijing office?

Thanks for any experiences and help.

Sharon
