Single Entry H1B and PR Visa entry into Canada
Hi,
Me and my spouse have the passports with the Canadian Immigration Visas stamped and we plan to visit Canada around March of 2006 for about a week or so, and then return to US (where we are on H1 and H4 Visas) for a couple of months, before we pack up to move permanently in early 2007.
We also have our "single" entry H1 and H4 visa extensions approved from Jan 2006 thru Jan 2007 from the US.
I would like to know:
Can we enter Canada with single entry H1 and H4 visas from the US, and with our Canadian Immigration Visas, go to the US Consulate in Canada and get the multiple entry H1 and H4 visas and re-enter US without any problem ?

never heard of single entry H1 visa. Infact as long as its between US and Canada you can just travel using your I-94 & I-797 documents. You might want to consult some US immigration Laywer and also ask this question in US forum.
You can easily get appointment from any US Consulate in Canada using their online reservation system.

I am pasting this note from US embassy website . Its for H1 applicants,
"Evidence of qualifications must be original or certified copy. Consular officers in Canada may refuse to issue a visa to H-1B applicants if their education and /or work experience is solely or predominantly from a country other than the U.S. or Canada."
