Hi Guys,
I am a Software Engineer in Silicon Valley and I have an interview with the LA
Consulate in December. How long will it take to get the landing papers after the
interview?
And how are the opportunities there? I was laid off here and I find it tough to get
a job here.
All ideas are welcome.

Seems to be tough to get a job, but experience counts. Especially in non-web areas
(banks, insurance, SAP, UNIX, Oracle, (even Java etc.) no big problems. Until
December things can get even better.

most people can get landing paper within 2 months after medical(if everything ok),
you can get the medical done right after the interview.
good luck
