Should I renew my RCMP clearance.
Hello fellow applicants and experts.
Spousal in Canada class:
I called CIC and the call agent let it slip to me that I had AIP, pending Quebec approval of my CSQ application before they confirm it and send it to me. My e-client says "decision made".
I got my fingerprints taken (last March) ahead of my application (sent in Sept) and sent them to the RCMP (last March). Now depending on how long they took to process my prints, it is conceivable that my RCMP certificate will expire before I get my papers. Would it harm my application to go now and get another set of fingerprints taken and send them to the RCMP with my client number on, so that if my certificate runs out, the new one will be a ways to being processed?
My instinct is to go ahead and get a new RCMP cert, just in case, it could save me months in processing time. I just wanted a second (or third, or forth) opinion.

Hi
No, you don't have to do anything if CIC is saying all they are waiting for is the CSQ.
