well,
after recieving approval in principle I applied for a work authorization. Today was
exactly 70 days ago that I sent the application off. I called CIC to ask them why I
still haven't heard anything yet. The call- agent told me they finalized and approved
the work authorization and I should recieve it sometime next week.
I thenasked what the status of the sponsorship application is. Againhetold methat
they are awaiting background clearance but the application will be "reviewed"
august 31st.
Does this mean they will make a decision on the sponsorship application.
yay?, nay? or interview followed by yay or nay?
How much longer after that can I expect to waitbefore I hear whatdecision is made?
What are some key factors for having an interview waiver?(if there are any on an
inland sponsorship application)
I'd like to know, if someone has had the experience, if we would recieve one...
we live in the NWT, I've been here since februari 2000, I speak read and write
English like anyone else. I even speak some French, know notions of German, Dutch is
my native tongue (obsolite info I guess)
Being out of rotation for over 16 months will hurt me in finding a job, not too
mention being in the NWT finding a job is hard enough, but I am planning on taking
some short term courses to get entry levels in various industries.
( Iused to be a NDT Technician, have experience as a foreman, machine operator and
industrial mechanic)
But most important I am fully integrated in this small town. Everyone knows who I
am etc etc
Ohwell, I guess august 31st is the new date to put down in my agenda.
Thanks for any and all help

It appears that your application is being processed normally. The "review" is a
standard procedure to check if no progress has been noted for which the application
is pending. Jim Humphries, former visa officer
