Depends on what you are applying for.
Some applications only require a the bio data page to be copied whereas other applications require copies of all pages. If applying for a visa then the original passport needs to be sent so the visa counterfoil can be inserted on a page.

A work permit isn't a visa.

its an express entry profile for FSW, it states:

Please submit one photocopy of the photo page and any pages containing amendments of the valid passport for you and one for each accompanying family member .

So if your passport hasn't been amended then only the bio data page needed so no need to assume.

so sent all my docs to London.....not sure if it got there as Royal Mail couldn't track it to there and not sure if its lost :| does the London office have a number I can confirm it on?

No, they don't I'm afraid. You can send a case specific email but that's the only way to try and contact them.

But do double check with Royal Mail, as if you sent it tracked they should be able to confirm it was signed for etc.
