A question for Mr. Miller
Mr. Miller, is there a reason why there's a significant gap (a couple of months) between medicals done/sent (by an applicant) and medicals received (by the CIC)? If so, does it make sense to do the medicals a bit (a month or so?) earlier than the specified timeframe by the CIC?

Re: A question for Mr. Miller
You have to be more specific here. There are more than just 2 different
dates when it comes to medicals - one is the date you went through medicals,
then there is a date your doctor mailed medicals to proper address, then
there is a date medicals were received and finally the date medical decision
was made and entered into CAIPS. It is quite normal to have a gap of few
months between the day you've done your medicals and the day medical
decision was made.

Given the time limiting effect of the medicals on landing, you do NOT
want to do them any earlier than CIC specify. The medical is only valid
for so long. If you do them early, you move back the expiry of the
landing visa.
