Question about the skilled worker program
Hi all
I have been playing with the thought of getting the PR, and would
apply onder the "skilled worker" program.
I took the test, pounded in my work experience, education etc. = 69
pts and 75 was the limit, I have no family or employer there - what
does that mean ? am I ABSOLUTELY not qualified or am I just in a grey
zone ?
If I found an employer, could it then be any job ? changing tires,
flipping burgers, or does it have to be related to my education ?
Is there any requirements for the company such as age, size or
something else ?
Thanks in advance

Re: Question about the skilled worker program
There is no "grey zone" - you must reach or exceed pass mark to qualify.
As far as finding a job - it depends what you need job offer for. If it is
for work permit then employer must obtain validation from HRDC after
documenting that regardless extensive search across Canada no Canadian
worker was found - thus forget changing tires or flipping burgers...
If it is an arranged employment for PR application with no intention to work
in Canada before becoming a PR then HRDC must issue a positive opinion, job
should be in one of skilled category, your
education/experience/qualifications must show that you can perform the job,
company must be in operations and have employees for at least 12 months.

Lets say I then improve my french and get above the 75pts - can I then
apply for a PR without job ? And then would the job search be easier ?
