Processing times?

Hi all,
I just joined the list and maybe my question could be redundant. Does anyone know
what's the processing time for Buffalo center? Better yet, if anyone knows the approx
times for each of the steps.
The figures I have are 1 year old and since then the dot-com went dot-burn and many
BayArea IT professionals sent their apps for Canada.
Thanks a lot! Bogdan

We are in the transition period now between old immigration law and new rules coming
into force later in June, so a lot will change in respect to processing times in the
second half of this year and beyond (it will be much shorter). But as of now
processing times in Buffalo for applicants from within Buffalo's jurisdiction are
anywhere between 9 to 14+ months with interview waiver and about 12 to 18+ months
with interview required.
In past 6 or so months AOR letters were being mailed by Buffalo within 10 to 16 weeks
from application receipt. It takes anywhere from 20 to 40 weeks for the assessment
notice (interview waiver or requirement) from the AOR letter. If interview is
required then the wait for such to be scheduled is anywhere from 3 to 8+ months from
the assessment notice.
