Processing Office for CEC within Canada

Processing Office for CEC within Canada
Hi Everyone,
I seem to have got myself into a CIC website loop! I'm going in circles trying to figure out the following:
I'm applying under CEC from within Canada. I have been here lawfully for over a year so I have sussed that I mail the application to the CIO in Sydney, NS. However, the instructions for the Generic Application Form for Canada requires me to select the appropriate Immigration Office for processing, which should NOT be the CIO in Sydney.
Does anyone know the answer? Is it Ottawa?

visitor visa (temporary resident visa) applications from within Canada for applicants with valid status (students or temporary foreign workers only)
permanent resident visa applications from the United States and Canada after they have been pre-screened by CPC-M or CIO-S

I don't think it matters too much what you put in that box though, I've just had my CEC approved (only 9 months btw) and I had accidentally left it blank.

Thanks for asking this question miffy85, I am filling my CEC application out at the moment as well and couldn't work it out!

I'd have to check my forms (i'm at work) but I'm sure I put when my last work permit was activated. They didn't put a stamp in my passport for the time after I came in after my work permit though, so if you have a stamp then I would go with that.
It certainly wouldn't be wrong to go with the later date but it's probably not something that would get you refused.
