PR Application question
Hi,
Background - I'm a British citizen living in Canada under a visitor visa
,Applied to Buffalo under skilled worker category in Feb 2002 ,completed
medicals and am waiting for Passport request. My e-client says decision made.
Questions - What is the actual process of landing ? ,do i have to leave
Canada and cross the border again to receive my visa ? or am i able to
receive it within Canada ?
Thanks ,
P.s. To weigh in on the recent Andrew Miller sceptics. He doesn't have to
give up his time giving free advice to people on this newsgroup he chooses
to which is an admirable quality in any profession and in my experience a
rare one for lawyers. He has only ever given me honest and helpful advice to
which i am very grateful.

Re: PR Application question
Once you get your passport with PR visa back from Buffalo you will have to
leave Canada and re-enter to complete landing process. It can be done just
by driving to the closest road border crossing with US, leaving Canada and
turning back before reaching US immigration. On some border crossings simple
walk around Canadian customs/immigration building will do the trick.
