Default Point of Entry Problems?!

Hi there,

I have got a written job offer and will be getting an LMO shortly. I intend to cross the border from New Brunswick into the US and then return to activate a temporary work permit.

Has anyone tried this yet? what have your experiences been?

I'm sick of getting conflicting information from HRDSC and Immigration.... some have said I can recross at the border and others say my application has to go back to London

As long as you've got all the necessary documentation (that you would submit if you were applying in London), you should be fine. We're doing something similar on Sunday for a WP renewal, so I'll post back here some time.

If you look up posts by pete66 he did this - crossing over into the states etc - if I can remember I think that he did have a bit of a bad time but he is the only person to have reported this to this forum.

Good luck when the time comes
