Point of Entry Problems?!

Hi there,

I have got a written job offer and will be getting an LMO shortly. I intend to cross the border from New Brunswick into the US and then return to activate a temporary work permit.

Has anyone tried this yet? what have your experiences been?

I'm sick of getting conflicting information from HRDSC and Immigration.... some have said I can recross at the border and others say my application has to go back to London :(

As long as you've got all the necessary documentation (that you would submit if you were applying in London), you should be fine. We're doing something similar on Sunday for a WP renewal, so I'll post back here some time.

If you look up posts by pete66 he did this - crossing over into the states etc - if I can remember I think that he did have a bit of a bad time but he is the only person to have reported this to this forum.

Good luck when the time comes
