Please Advice-Citizenship Oath Scheduled, no Letter?
I have applied for Canadian citizenship, and passed the test stage.
Few days ago, I called CIC to ask about the status of my application;
they informed me that I am scheduled for an oath in a week, and that a
letter has been sent to me about this more than ten days ago. They
told me the date, place, and time of the oath.
However, I DID NOT receive the letter at all; in the past, I have
received info/confirmation from CIC by mail without problems.
What should I do? Could I go to the oath without the letter? Should I
contact the centre where I am supposed to get the oath previously?
I am very upset about this, and will greatly appreciate your advice.
Thanks,
A.

From Which Province did you apply? What was your test date?
When is your oath scheduled for?
Some times you will receive the notice only 2-3 days earlier.
Thanks

Just wait. It'll come. You've waited this long, you can wait a few
more days. It's not anything you have to lose sleep over. IF you must,
wait until about four months after the date of your exam and then give them
a quick call. If indeed the letter did get lost, they'll reschedule you and
you as soon as they are able.
However, if you were told a specific date and location, you may want to
phone that particular office (or drop by) and ask if they're expecting you
on that date.
In general, the oath letter is required along with your immigration
documents and ID (recommended is your passport), so if you go to the oath
centre (which I am not recommending) on the day in question, make sure you
have them.
And wear business attire, just in case.
Congratulations.

I applied in the Southern Ontario (not Toronto or Mississauga), and my
test was in early May. The thing that upsets me is the fact that CIC
has info on their computers that the letter WAS sent two weeks ago.
And, I did not receive it.

Test in May? It's too soon for the oath. Most likely.
