Default Permanent Resident Card renewal times, or PRTD processing times

Hi there

I have two questions. If anyone could shed light on either I'd be grateful"

1)Does anyone in Canada have any experience of the processing times to *renew* their PR card in Canada? I am a brit living in Vancouver as Perm resident.

2)I am travelling to UK in mid-July and if I can't get my PR card renewed in time, I will have to wait in London and apply for the PRTD (Permanent Resident Travel Document). Does anyone have any experience of the process time recently for the PRTD?

Thank you!

I submitted my PR card renewal in late Sep or early October. I received my new card in late December I think.

1. Posted processing time is 120 days, + mailing time.
2. Seems that PRTD takes between 1 and 2 weeks in UK. fasted processing time was 9 days.
