Hi there,
Sorry for all the questions, but we are nearly done our common-law sponsorship application for my fiancé and I to move from the UK to Canada. I read that if a section doesn't apply to me I should type N/A or not applicable; however, on certain forms such as 1344, it won't let me type anything in the box unless I tick "yes". For example, "Have you ever used any other name?" I ticked "No." So I can't type N/A in the "family name" or "given name" boxes below this question, I hit the keys but nothing comes up. It only lets me type in those boxes if I hit "yes," which is not correct for me. I could write N/A on the printed form, but I'm thinking this isn't right because this form needs to be electronically validated.
Therefore if a question doesn't apply to me and I hit "no" and it won't let me type in the box, does that mean I should leave it blank? To me it is clear from the yes/no question prefacing them that these boxes does not apply, unlike other questions where clarification might be needed, and where I have been able to type N/A no problem.
Hope that's clear, thanks so much! This forum has been so helpful <3
