Is Ottawa a good place to live?
Got a job in Ottawa. Not sure if I should take it or wait for jobs in
Toronto.
From pictures, I can not see any big none government buildings.
Heard the IT jobs there are dead, and all government jobs require speaking
French. Are government jobs plenty?
By the way, is it true that government employees don't pay tax on their
income?

Depends on if you want to live in a monster city.

Everyone goes home at 5:00pm and the entire city is completely empty by
5:30. No other buildings except those to do with the federal government.
The nearest supermarket is 50km away and the nearest housing is 51km away.

It's a government city...though I thought you HAD a job already.

Nope. Though they can always think of it as a down payment on their
next paycheque. :-)

You need to speak French for practically any Federal Government job there,
particularly higher level jobs. If you like outdoor activities, then I
would chose Ottawa over Toronto. By the way, the city is the second coldest
capital city in the world, after the capital of Mongolia!
