News On Medicals For London Visa Office!!
Hi all
Just had some information that might help people out. We spoke to the doctor who did our medicals today, as we have been waiting 9 weeks since they were done and heard nothing.
She assured us that it is very unusual to hear anything until 'at least 8 weeks after they receive them'. HOWEVER, what might help/freak out people is her news that the old Chief Medical Officer in the London Visa office has returned to Toronto and a new one started a couple of weeks ago. She said she had noticed that no medicals were being referred to her in the past 2 weeks, so there might be a bit of delay as the new person warms up their rubber stamp to approve us all.
So whilst the wait is still painful, it is more information than we had this morning and has improved our spirits a little. Hang in there everyone, and lets hope the new CMO has completed his 'Advanced Rubber Stamping and Approval' course and gets those PPR's a-flowing!

Thanks for that piece of information at least we now know why there seems to be a delay. I haven't seen anything recently posted about passport requests so it seems to tie in with this news. We just have to be patient a bit longer.

Well that seems to make sense. We had our medicals at the end of May and are still waiting for ppr's.
I suppose the new CMO has got a huge backlog though, which is a pain.
