How many people received 2 different file numbers (one from Nova Scotia on initial application and another when the full application was received by CHC London)???

I'm still waiting for medical request and received a 2nd file reference, hope this doesn't delay the process :(

Hi
Hammy
As I understand it the file number from CHC London replaces your initial apllication file number provided by Sydney.

Also Hammy I see in your timeline you received your AOR on the 25/05/09, have you checked your ecas online to see when they started processing your file.

Thanks Joinerboy, it states "in progress" and "we started processing you file on 2nd June 2009" - when do you reckon a likely receipt of med request could be? looking at trackitt etc I was thinking end July or Aug??
Many thanks :)

No pal, just sent a covering letter explaining that we would be sending the RPRF along with our Medicals, why does this make it slower for us?

It didn't seem to slow things down for us - see timeline.

Thanks Poppit, always good to hear, congrats by the way you're just about there, we can't wait for it all to be done ,with a successful outcome of course, then its just the hassle of saving for funds, deposit on house, etc which I can handle. I'm normally a fairly chilled out person but even I'm getting stressed worrying wether we are going to get passed or not :)

Hi Mags1972

I'm sure you'll get medical requests in the next couple of months. Hopefully, you'll be sorted before christmas and can plan your future in Alberta.

We are trying to decide when is the best time to go - we are both College Teachers so have to give 2 months notice. I would love to go at the end of Oct; find a job before the winter sets in and try to get settled. Our other option is to leave work at Chrsitmas and go mid January - advantage of doing that is, we will have saved more money. We haven't sold our house and realistically don't expect to until the economy improves. We have enough savings at the moment to last 12 months in Canada without working. Obviously, the sooner we can get a job the longer our money will last which would put us in a stronger position financially if our house doesn't sell.

I'm worried that if we wait until January it maybe harder to get a job. It's a difficult call - do you follow your heart and just go, or do we use our head and wait and see if the market improves?

Sorry for waffling, and goodluck it won't be long before it's your turn.

No probs Poppit you waffle all you like :) We too are hoping to have visa's sorted for christmas and move in the summer or at least before winter sets in. Our dilemma is with the house also, we would prefer to rent it but we may need the equity and unless the market improves here it won't be worth selling so we are saving like mad and hoping our rich Uncle Uncle favours us
Best of luck Poppit!!

Hi Mags1972

Rich uncle - I want one of them!

Seriously though, goodluck with your application and hope the house sells quickly.
