I am going to be sponsoring my spouse under the pilot project for family class from
India. Could you pols. advice on the following:

1) Is it important for my wife to statisfy the occupation requirements when I am
going to be responsible for supporting her for 10 years ( according to the
sponsorship agreement). She is a Doctor by profession but I am not sure that
Canada recognizes educaton of a Doctor from India.

2) After submitting the application to Case Processing Centre what is the process ?
How much time does it generally take for the application to be processed, assuming
that I submit all the docs.

3) She does not have a Birth Certificate issued by Muncipal corporation. However all
the other certificates do mention her Date of Birth. Will an affidavit suffice ?

Thanks for your help.

1) your wife doesn't need to meet selection criteria as she is sponsored by you

2) processing time may take anywhere from about 7 to 14+ months

3) School diploma with the dob and affidavit should suffice.
