sending FBI clearance

Greetings Everyone:
A quick quest I have recvd the AOR number and I have to send the FBI clearance, should I wait till the Immigration dept sends me the PIN No., also they have asked for the documents to be certified. I have sent just xerox copies of my documents is it a good idea to resend the certified documents or should I wait for them to ask for the certified documents?
Guys pls advice
