I have co-signed to sponsor my wife's parents. I submitted the application under
pilot project and they received the complected application in Mississauga on July
2001. They have forwarded the application to Singapore on October 2001.( We are from
Bangladesh. My inlaws have not received any letter from Singapore yet. I have called
the immigration department here and they told me that they can not check the overseas
files unless six months have gone by. From your experience, can you please tell me
why it is taking that long for Singapore to send a letter confirming that they have
all the documents.? Thanks for your help.

It may take well over a year to process your in-law's application. Singapore will
most likely not even send any letter confirming receipt of files as such were
internally transferred from CPC in Canada.
