Mr Miller pl help
Hi all,
I applied as an independent skilled worker in Oct 2001 and am on H1B
in USA. I recently got a letter from the consulate stating that my
interview was waived but they need letters of employemnt from the
period Oct 2001 til today. I was working till August 2002 and after
that I was laid off. (I got the letter from that employer). I do have
an offer letter dated in September and reciept for visa transfer
application, but my employer wants me to wait until the visa comes
thru before I join them. How should I explain the time between August
till Jan? WIll it have a bad affect on the application if I write that
I had been sitting at home waiting for the H1B transfer to come thru?
Please advise.

Hi,
I assume that the letter that they need from you is "the work refrence letter"Is very important to prove that you have a couple of years of experiance in the proffesional field you have applaied like skilled worker so
they don't need from you an employment letter from october 2001 until now but a refrence letter which prove that you have worked (you are not working now no?) in that field (so you have enought experiance).
I think you may ask your former employer to issue this refrece letter.
And sent it to the embassy.
That's all.
