Mr. Miller and experts, letter from cic HELP
Alright, I just got a letter from Buffalo and I thought my heart was
going to stop as I opened to read it. Jeesh! Anyways, my husband and
I applied for skilled worker immigration in April of 2003. We just
got a letter today stating that we are in a queue waiting to be
scheduled for an interview. This means we will require interview but
it is not scheduled yet. The following are my questions.
1. Approximately how long does it take them to schedule for an
interview after they send this letter out?
2. They also sent medical forms, should we go ahead and complete those
before we have the interview? The reason I ask this is because it is
800.00 bucks for the two of us and there is no point in doing medicals
if there is a chance that we will be deemed unqualified to immigrate
in the interview.
3. My husband and I will be out of town for three months this summer.
We won't be here in May, June, and July. If an interview is scheduled
during this time, will we be able to postpone it and ask for it to be
scheduled in August instead?
Anyone else gotten a similar letter? Thanks everyone for your help
guys.

Your file will be transfered to one interview office after 1 to 10 months. After your file is transfered, you should wait for a long time (>6 months) to get the date of interview. If you see the DMP doctor now, your medical examination will expire before the interview.
It takes only 2 months for the result of medical to go from DMP doctor to the interview office. You have enough time to do it after you know the interview date. Why do it now?

Hey,
Thanks for your response! The aproximate time you gave me is for
Buffalo/US applications! Oh boy... so long. Do you suppose I should
fax them to let them know we will be out of town for three months this
summer or should I leave it alone and wait for them to give us
interview dates. I am absolutly terrified that they are going to give
us an interview date that falls in the time we are out of the country.
Thanks again
