I applied in August 2001 and asked to join an interview in US. Since April 1, my case will be re-assessed under the new law.

According to the website of CIC malina, the new process on if interview is still need or not will take about a year. I am extremely sad about the news. I have wating for nearly 20 months, now I still need to wait another 12 months for the new initial assessment, after tnat , if interview is needed, another 18 months is waiting for me, it totally will be 20+12+18=50 months, over 4 years. I think that I am now in the same starting point with those who just submit there application. The only difference between us 70 vs 75.

Would you mind suggest me how long does this new assessment take. and how long should my interview is expected to arrange?
