medicals expiration
So I just read medicals don't expire if you're already in Canada and stay in
canada. is that true? I already got medicals for a work-permit and i'm
applying under skilled worker category. do i not have to do that later
again?
thanks

Re: medicals expiration
Medicals for work permit are not the same as for PR visa.

Re: medicals expiration
Medicals for work permits are the same as PR applicants. However all
medicals are valid for one year only. To use the medical that you used for
your WP for PR purposes you have to contact Immigrtaion Medical Services in
Ottawa or which ever medical office reviewed yoru medical results and
explain your circumtances and ask them to direct the results of your medical
to the appropriate visa office and give your file number. Of course by the
time that your PR application sees the light of day and you require a
medical they will pobably be expired any way. In your case it may be easier
to just do a new medical.
