I crapped myself when this happened to me at the ripe old age of 17, it was the RAF doctor doing my medical.
No doctor has done it since thankfully, he had rough skin

Correct me if I am wrong, I thought only men had prostates! Never heard of a single woman dying of prostrate c.

Have you never had this happen before? I thought that was pretty standard in a medical, or it certainly is in every medical my husband has had, as is the finger up the bot and a cough.

NO! they asked hubby to strip to underwear and pinched his upper thigh and ankle, certainly no feeling him up! 2yo didnt even get that, not sure how they justify the $175 fee for him, he just had his heard listened to and his ears/eyes checked.
just as well my eldest son would have called the bloke a pedophile! ( he has aspergers and says what is on his mind.)
frankly i was not impressed with having to remove my bra, he didnt touch me there ( not sure if it was because i had had a breast exam at my drs that very morning) and it just seemed petty that they insisted but couldnt give a reason.he also made 10yo dd take her top off she is just starting to grow bless her.
actually im very angry that there is a disparity between doctors for this, if we are subjected to a thourough exam, or a lax one, everyone should be treated equally.

I'm sorry are we really suggesting that the panel physicians are out there to 'cop a feel"
Have you any idea how insuting you are being to medical professionals? The simple answer to the apparent disparity between examinations is predominantly due to the exercising of professional judgement by the medical examiner. They are allowed to do that you know
CIC asks them to make a professional judgement as to the state of your health and any relevant medical concerns at the time of the exam. It may well be that some doctors would interpret that to include, for example an examination of the external genitalia (male or female).
Please notice that the original poster doesn't appear to have been sufficiently traumatised by this to even comment on the thread they started ( personally, I smell troll)
Look at it from this point of view, noone likes having this stuff done and for the doctor probably everything they do will be wrong! Some doctors will do everything they can in an attempt to "preserve your modesty". personally this stresses me out even more than whipping my top off for 5 minutes.
For my avaiation medical i was given a gown to wear even though all he wanted me to do was remove my t shirt so he could listen to my lungs. In attempting to make me feel more comfortable it made me wonder why he was so bothered about accidentally seeing my boobs!
See they can't win.
really people lets think about the messages we are potentially sending our offspring. Do you really want them to think that it is shameful and embarassing for a doctor to touch you? At some point we are all going to have to have exams that involve people rummaging around in areas we'd rather they not touch but they can be life saving.
