Default Medical Exam - is this normal?

I've been reading people's accounts of their medical exams and was wondering if it's normal that my (male) doctor asked me to strip to my underwear, slipped his hand in and squeezed my testicles. I found it degrading and unnecessary.

Neither myself, my husband or my son got anything like that tested.

Saying that our doctor that took the exam was very slack and appeared as uninterested as possible. There are a ton of questions they are meant to ask you that we weren't asked either.

I guess it depends on who you get, which is bad.

Checking for testicular cancer. That's what docs are trained to do.

Nope. Our doc listened to our heart and did the BP and then simply asked "do you have a gp? Does she look after your health? Great!" Meds done!

As I coughed my doctor told me I might be suseptable to a hernia and should not make a living lifting piano's
I sighed with relief because I only play the mouth organ!!
still I know next time I get the impules to lift a grand piano over my head that I should not.
I do like doctors, they seem to know alot!

Wow... that's strange! I was only asked to take off my shoes, and did weight, sight and reflex checks.

I'll give you my perspective albeit from a woman angle.

First meds: Very thorough doctor - copped a feel of everything. (Asked if I wanted a female doc present I thought to myself no cos if you do anything untoward I'll belt you anyway)

Second meds: Basic - ears eyes reflexes breathing - job done.

It does seem from others experiences, and mine, that it totally depends on your doctor.

I don't think you should be filing lawsuits for sexual devience just yet.
