Default Lost PR card

So we seem to have lost our 12 year old sons PR card 😱

We're heading to Cuba in 6 weeks time.

I've read you can obtain a travel document. How does that even work?

Thanks for your help!! I'm panicking!!

Once you are out of Canada, you can apply for a PR Travel Document

Oh no!

I'd strongly suggest gathering all the documentation and proof required for the PRTD before you go - and complete the application in advance.

How long are you going to be in Cuba for? You will need to drop / send the application to Havana, processing times aren't shown. You may need to consider flying back into the US and then coming across by car.

I hope your son find his card!!

Leave him in Canada, have a great holiday and send a post card. At 12 he needs to learn to be responsible with important documents. When I was 12 I was working 12 hours a day, walking 5 miles each way to work and got a day off every fortnight.

And you will need someone to look after the dogs- saves you paying for kennels or getting a dog sitter

Oh I would like shot but I think despite no doubt falling in love with the two of them there would be a bit too much doggy slobber, even for me

I have to agree with you. I'm constantly wiping slobber off the walls. Lol

It might not be either / or. You might decide to do both as I did depending on your plans. I wanted to book a summer holiday but did not want to be stressing my Citizenship app wouldn't be processed in time. In the event it was but with only 3 weeks to spare.
