I hired Andrew Miller for my case and he is in Vancouver, why won't
you contact him?

Reasonable fee? It depends from what perspective - when I compared
Andrew's fee to fees being quoted by immigration consultants and
lawyers in US (where I was residing at a time) I was shocked how
inexpensive he was (his fee was at that time at least 2 to 4 times
lower from the lowest quotes I got in US).

I know that you can probably find even cheaper consultants than
Andrew, but remember that you always get what you pay for, nothing
more - and price shouldn't be the only factor when selecting
professional.

i totally agree

paperwork is probably less than 1 percent of the fees....knowledge
experience.....due dilligence... - 99 percent

i've seen some do permanent damage AND ended costing more in terms anguish
and unnecessary sadness..will not name NAMES some are high ranking members
or officers of Canadian Bar Association (Immigration-Vancouver)

one CBA lady is a nothing but a thief.....charges phone call $ 200 for
teleconferencing ( VEGREVILLE )
charges $ 1,000 USD to an applicant who failed initial assesment..suppose to
be free

i deal with a lot immigrants and will do the same - refer them to ANDREW
MILLER, James Metcalfe and Humpries

at least your chances of getting ripped off is NIL....you get qualty work
for the money, honest solutions and most all EXCELLENT fighting chance

Josh - If you speak reasonable english (or french) and have at least
an IQ of a ten year old, you do not need a "lawyer" or "consultant"
for the Canadian immigration process. It is very simple and
straighforward and you would end up paying a few thousand dollars to
these lawyers for merely pushing papers.

If you have ever filled out a college application or a job application
- well you are all set to fill out your Canadian immigaration
application. Some due diligence in collating documents and some
legwork in getting your support materials in ordewr is all you
need...IMHO it is much easier and much better if you do it all by
yourself.

Take my advice, save those bucks you might end up needing them if/when
you get here with the economy being what it is...

Enough. Come back.

Is there any creditable web site in CA to search immigration lawyers?

Not really. If you are looking for some kind of ranking then you won't
find it. You may find thousands of individual lawyers and consultants
web sites, but they are simply self-serving and you shouldn't base
your decision on how impressive they are. Then there are bas
associations or OPIC web sites listing their members - but we heard
about some of their members (both, lawyers and consultants) here over
past few years in not so good words.

I made my decision by reading experts in this forum - I analyzed each
of them carefully, contacted them all and finally selected the one
who's style I liked the most. But it is just me and it worked for me,
but you may not feel comfortable with my approach.
