Default landing funds devided

I have a point which is important to me to be clarified, What if
someone has to land before the landing papers expires but still he did
not sell all his properties in which he has almost all of his funds .
Can he land with minimal amount of landing funds (10000 CAD) and the
rest of funds will be transferred to him by his brother within 3 to 6
months or with his wife and kids who will follow him to Canada after a
month . Please help . Thank you

I will be delighted to know more on this.
Any info is most welcome.

But i have a bunch of friends who crossed the border before Sep 11,2001 & they tell... "even a few thousad dollars was good enough. " Actually one friend had only US$600.
Now i got new info... that they are checking the amount mentioned on the papers.

It varies from person to person. Some people are very strict & some are lenient in the sense.. a few thousand dollars less is OK for them.
So it is best to show whatever is written on those papers!

This is intersting . I have a similar situation , my wife will follow
me and I have to leave some funds for her and for my children . She
will bring the rest of the money with her upon arrival to Canada.
I did not know that this is a problem , I only know that declaration
of funds upon arrival as an immigrant is a legal action as Canadian
law prevent entering Canada with more than 10.000 Canadian dollars
without declaration .
I think that this situation needs an experet opinion from Mr. Andrew
Miller .
