I plan to land with $9000 canadian dollars in cash/travellers check/cashiers cheque combination.The reason for this amount is I dont want to carry more than $10k can. dollars.
For the rest I plan to show statements of US bank accounts which has enough balance exceeding the required value .I think for a family of 2 you need to show approx $12500.I am landing alogwith my wife.Will this be accepted as enough proof for settelment funds?

Generally by what I read here, yes, but just to be sure you may want to be able to verify the US bank statement via the internet in case someone gets sticky, you never know.
