Hello: i need a piece of advice. I got my PR landing papers, after applying thru the
Quebec delegation and Canadian consulate in Paris. Can I "pretend" to go to Montreal
(landing there) and then just move to Toronto and get my Social Security Number in
Ontario?Thanks for the advice.

If you have a Quebec Certificate of Selection together with your Canadian Immigrant
Visa, you're best to land in Quebec just to avoid any problems. However, after
you've landed in Canada and become a permanent resident, you can establish your
residence anywhere in Canada. It makes no difference where you apply for your Social
Insurance Number.

Hi,

better you get your Social Security Number in Quebec

and don't land in Toronto first -

Bonne Chance
