Just starting
Hi,
Me and my fiancee have finnaly decided on a move to Canada and are just about to start the whole process as I leave the Royal Air Force next February. I was just wondering if anyone has been to "opportunities in" expos. We have just baught tickets to one in manchester as we are from leeds is this going to be a good use of our time has anybody been to one and lastly should we take anything withs us CVs ect.

Having been to 2 expos, I think the mileage with these can vary depending on your expectations and current knowledge.
You can take a resume (not a CV, see the wiki) but don't expect there to be lines of employers wanting to take it.
However there will be some immigration consultant companies willing to take a few grand off you for their services!
Since you are new, my advise is to go with an open mind and gather as much information and pens as you can.

to add to the above comment.. and don't get sucked in by immigration consultant. Listen to their advice and then do it yourself . Lots of help and info on this forum, all forms can be downloaded for free from the different sites and lots of free help in Canada as well...once you picked the area you want to go to.
